Although I could not figure out how to get my video on my iPhone uploaded to youtube I interviewed 5 people at random with an opportunity.
Opportunity/Question:
If every restaurant you went to had a vegetarian/vegan substitute for your meal of choice, would you choose that option?
1st Person: Thats kinda a weird question. Do you mean if I had to choose between the two? I would always choose meat. It's better and healthier.
-please explain
I mean, chicken is healthy and so is Fish, I don't understand vegetarians.
2nd: I don't think so, I have never tried those kind of diet trends. Maybe if I knew more about it I would consider, I but don't think its for me.
3rd Person: Yes I'm vegetarian, I wish every place had that kind of substitute. People have no idea what theyre eating, its pretty sad. It would be a great idea to make a soy option on all menus
4th Person (friend of the 3rd person): Absolutely. I hardly trust food from restaurants so I would feel better if I knew I was eating something plantbased.
5th Person: Maybe. I dont want to go to a nice steakhouse and not eat steak. but maybe if I was at a middle eastern restaurant I would consider it a bit more.
I learned that many people do not understand the environmental concerns that the meat and diary industry bring. It is the main cuase of Global Warming and also for heart dieseases. I wish people would read literature on vegetarianism and educate themselves.
I think your responses show great variety! I personally do eat meat, but I 100% agree that society needs to become more educated about both our food industry and vegetarianism as a whole. I do wish some of the people would have elaborated on their responses, just to have some justification for their choices. That being said, great job on your interviews and keep up the good work!

DeleteHey Isabella!
ReplyDeleteI like your opportunity idea and feel that it is a great topic of choice. Many people struggle with being a vegetarian/vegan these days because restaurants just don't live up to par on their choice of meals. if it were me, I'd definitely choose those options because I feel they are healthiest and most suitable for myself and the environment I'm living in. By that I mean it is most respectful to eat something that does not have to be killed nor is a living animal. Your interview responses were awesome! ReplyDeleteI like your idea i think is awesome. the questions your are asking are on point and i consider that you are getting amazing and super important feedback from your interviews. I agree with you, i think that the world needs to improve their knowledge in vegan food, and the harm that all the processed food ( walmart or publix) do to our systems. On the other hand is accurate to add that the taste of vegan food is amazing.
i agree Green=Healthy and the world needs more green KEEP IT UP
