1) You.
My name is Isabella and I am a talented chef, photographer, a business major, and very passionate about animal rights. I want to start a restuarant that makes veganism and vegetarianism "cool" and fashionable. Eating healthy should be an aspiration and eating animal products should be looked down upon.
2) What are you offering to customers?
I am offering delicious and environmentally conscience meals. I will also offer a beautiful ambience that will make customers want to come inside for more than just the healthy food.
3) Who are you offering it to?
I am offering it to people of any age. Mainly those who understand how dangerous the meat and dairy industry is to our environment. I believe that there are so many people who are unaware of these problems that they thinks veganism and vegetarianism is just a "fad". I want to spread awareness through delicious food and introducing a healthy lifestyle to new customers.
4) Why do they care?
People always go out to eat. And depending on location, there are many vegetarians all located in one place. It is difficult to have a restricted diet and eat out. I believe that offering them this type of restaurant will increase opportunity for health conscience people to go out to eat.
5) What are your core competitors?
My core competitors are vegans and vegetarians who cook for themselves. There are very many vegetarian restaurants in general.
I believe these elements fit together because they make my business model stronger. I covered most concepts of my business and believe that it is possible to achieve this goal.
Loving the idea Isabella! As a person who's interested in becoming vegan/vegetarian, the problem I find is that there aren't that many places where you can find such healthy options that are both tasty and affordable.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work!

Hello,
ReplyDeleteI like your idea. A lot of my friends are becoming vegans and vegetarians, and your idea would cater to their diets. As a die-hard steak fan, I do not think I could visit this great idea just yet. With the rise of food-borne illnesses as well as the recent food scares in the meat industry, I think many people would love to try a new alternative. Great post and I would love to hear more about your idea. Check out my blog at dylankojo.blogpsot.com
Hi Isabella!
ReplyDeleteI really relate to your idea. I like meat however I have increasingly become weary of the meat I eat because of the quality or the illnesses that result from it. I like the idea of a "cool"and healthy vegetarian restaurant because I would actually like the food and not worry about what is in it.

Hello, Isabella!
ReplyDeleteFancy seeing you here! Your idea is almost as cool as you are. Since we are friends in real life, you're already aware of my stance on veganism/vegetarianism, but this is still a good idea. A lot of restaurants have very few options like this and there are very few that purely sell vegetarian products. Cool idea!
If you want to, you can check out my blog post at http://nika-uf-ent3003.blogspot.com/2016/02/idea-napkin-no-1.html. Or don't. That's entirely up to you. See you later!
Hello Isabella,
ReplyDeleteI think you have a really good idea. I've recently heard of a meat substitute that tastes almost identical if not better than actual meat. It's called "Beyond Meat," check it out on youtube. As soon as I saw that I wanted to try it. Maybe you could contact them and try to make a deal to incorporate it into your menu. Good luck! And let me know when you open, I'll definitely give it a try!
