Top 5 World Problems
PROBLEMS
1. Turmoil and tension between the countries of the world
2. Human Trafficking
3. Women are not paid as much as men for the same job
4. Girls in India, Nepal and Cambodia are still not accepted into pursuing a higher level education.
5. Corn grain being fed to animals
I believe that all 5 problems are the greatest problems we face in the world. All problems give a direct disadvantage to the world, and those who live in it. Turmoil in the countries of the world is instilling fear in everyone, causing them to rebel and not be the kind of citizen that society needs. As stress increases in a human's daily life, our decisions become poorer and weaker.
SOLUTIONS
1. Create awareness for where young women can find free birth control and be discrete about it
2. Create a stronger awareness of human trafficking so people can report it when they see it. Often it happens right in front of us and we do not understand what is going on.
3. Create programs to desensitize police officers. These programs should not only be in officer training, but carry throughout their career.
4. banning animal testing by creating a bill.
5: Creating an equal pay bill
I believe that creating awarness is an easier task than passing a bill through congress, which is why it is at the top of the list. To create programs for desensitizing officers is challenging but also possible to implement.

Hello Isabella! I believe turmoil and tension between countries is a very serious issue. I believe that religious differences are mostly responsible of this tension nowadays. Human trafficking is also a big problem today. Police should be responsible of tracking down the places that trafficking is happening and arrest the people responsible of it. Another solution which is essential, is providing education to people in order to prevent them from becoming victims of human trafficking. Learning how to recognize human trafficking is also important, as you say. Desensitizing the police is not always the best solution, in my opinion. If you think of all the incidents that have happened with policemen in the US lately and their "desensitization" towards dark skin people is amazing. Something has to happen about this as well. So, better police training in combination with psychological tests is a general solution . The only thing that I don't understand in your post is which solution matches which problem. It would be nice if you could make it more clear. This is my post if you want to take a look: http://ent303uf.blogspot.com/ Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHey Isabella!
ReplyDeleteI find your top 5 world problems to be very interesting! Your problems are ones that are most important I feel because they are the ones hidden from the rest of the world and not made to be a big deal when they really are the biggest! Turmoil and tension was a huge factor on my top world problems because it is what creates the most violence in this world and terror amongst our nations. Also, I am so intrigued that you put human trafficking because growing up, I had watched a movie on it and always wanted to get involved some way, its such a horrific thing and is not taken as seriously as it should be. I really enjoyed your top 5 world problems and would like you to check out mine! Heres my blogpost: http://alexabernie.blogspot.com/2016/01/top-5-world-problems.html
